An export license is a government document that authorizes or grants permission to conduct a specific export transaction
In Nigeria
The body incharge of Issuing Export lincene us the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC)
The are concerned with issuing licence to non oil exporters.
This means for oil and gas export they get their licence from a different body.
This class is concerned with NON OIL EXPORT.
Documents/requirements NEEDED To get export licence for a client.
Everything is done 100% online, just like CAC and it even a bit easier I will tell you.
1. You need CAC Documents for LIMITED LIABILITY REGISTRATION
A. The CERTIFICATE
B. the Status Report
C. The Memart
This is to tell you that the client must be registered with CAC before thinking about export licence and it must be LIMITED LIABILITY, don’t collect business name, it won’t work, rather encourage the client to upgrade.
This is why I said the work is easy, coz those documents are already ready so long as the clients is registered.
2. Board of Resolution, don’t worry about the big grammar, you’ll be thought how to prepare this

What to avoid when generating export licence for clients.
1. Don’t let your clients rush you. Give them enough time so you work in peace, also tell them, you’ll do your part, but the NEPC has the final say. (This applies to CAC registration too)
2. Input correct details, review and review again to avoid mistakes, don’t assume anything for your clients, make sure they ask you to fill the details before you fill it(this applies to CAC registration too)
3. BUSINESS NAME will not go, your clients but be registered under Limited Liability or upgrade to Limited company.
How can I get clients.
It simple, same way you get clients for CAC. (IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT CAC CHAT ME)
Consistently posting in your preferred social media handles, find groups where exporters are congregated and pitch to them, tell your friends to refer you
Most importantly, when you get a client for CAC registration and you discover it’s exportation.
